ESOL Manager

NJC SCP31 £27943 – 25 hours PW (2 Years Fixed Contract)

 

We wish to appoint a highly motivated and experienced ESOL Manger to join our small, friendly and busy team.

The ESOL Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of ESOL delivery within BRS.

He/she will oversee the running of the ESOL service ensuring an effective system of work supervision in in place for the volunteer and paid staff, verifying quality standards and supervising operational delivery.

The successful candidate will have an appropriate English language teaching qualification (Diploma in Education & Training, DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent with ESOL specialism) and substantial teaching experience, preferably gained working in a community learning environment. You will have experience of supervising or managing staff/volunteers in the workplace, and of developing services.

Lead Refugee Adviser
NJC PS6 pt 29 SO1 £27252 (Inc OLW) pro rata- 14 hours pw (3
Years Fixed Contract)

We wish to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Lead Refugee
Advisor to join our small, friendly and busy team and take responsibility
for the delivery of a high quality advice service.
This is a key role within the Barnet Refugee Service to lead and
support the advice team to deliver an efficient, effective and informed
holistic support service to refugees and asylum seekers who may be in
crisis/distress and provide advice and guidance to staff on a range of
client’s related issues.
The successful candidate will have experience of supervising and
supporting other advice workers (paid staff or volunteers), have
substantial experience of managing own case load of complex cases
i.e. in welfare benefits, housing, immigration and have an in-depth
knowledge of refugees rights and entitlements.
He/she will also holds an OISC (level 1 or above) certificate.

ESOL Volunteer Teacher

We are looking for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) volunteer teachers to provide English language classes at our site in Colindale (Hyde House, the Hyde, NW96LH) during school term time, weekdays (between 10:00 and 3:00).

Come to work at Barnet Refugee Service and you’ll be working every day to help Refugees and Asylum Seekers rebuild their lives!
